Several of the farm's Icelandic horses are part of the nature care of the protected Natura 2000 areas on Læsø. After the grazing season, the farm's Icelandic horses must be driven either home or to pastures closer to the farm. The horse gatherings take place along the coast over the salt marshes and through the rivers.
Dates for horse gatherings 2024:
27/9-29/9 From Hornfiskrøn across the river and home along the Hornfiskrøn road. (Fully booked)
4/10-6/10 From Langerøn across the river to Kringelrøn, along the coast and further along the Hornfiskrøn road home. (Fully booked)
Board and lodging are included in all types of stay.

Arrival Friday evening from 18. (Short stay)
We recommend the ferry departure from Frederikshavn at 16.50 or at 20.30 p.m.
After accommodation, there is a briefing about the coming days, where crackers, cheese, coffee and tea are served at the same time.
Saturday breakfast is served between 08.00-09.00.
09.30 we meet in the stable, where the horses are distributed and saddled. After that we ride out after the horses.
Depending on how well it goes, we are at home on the farm between 13-14.00, where we have lunch. Afterwards, the horses are free, and it is possible to go out and experience the island on your own.
Later in the afternoon there is coffee and cake.
Dinner is served at 19.00.
Sunday breakfast is served at 08.00-09.00.
09.30 we meet in the stable, where the horses are saddled. There is riding approx. 2 hours. Afterwards we have lunch at home on the farm.
Depart Sunday must take place no later than 14.30 p.m. We recommend the ferry departure at 13.30:15.00 p.m. or XNUMX p.m.
It is possible to extend the stay with arrival on Wednesday or Thursday evening with a normal day trip.

Lower intermediate: You can hold the reins correctly, stop and steer correctly. Has ridden trot/canter/gallop several times without problems. "Rusty" adults and children who have ridden for several years at riding school often belong in this category.
Routined: You have been riding for several years and have ridden all types of terrain. You have the balance to stand safely in the stirrups at a canter and have control of half parades.
The choice of level is not final. We talk to all participants before the horses are distributed. This is just to have an overall picture of levels.
Note our rider weight limit of 85 kg.
As a participant in horse gatherings, you must be 15 years old. Horse gatherings are only for lightly practiced and seasoned riders.
Unfortunately, we do not accept people with either physical or mental disabilities, as our horses are not suitable, and this will require extra guides. For us, it is a matter of safety and a good experience for all participants. This only applies to the riding, everyone is welcome for board and lodging.
When booking, state the age, weight and riding experience of the participants so that we can match horses and riders as optimally as possible.
